Rehau signs for new Halton shed

Rehau, manufacturer of UPVC products for the construction and automotive industries, has signed a 15-year lease at £4.95/sq ft on Manor Point, a 132,000 sq ft distribution centre in Runcorn.

Manor Point was speculatively developed in 2009 by Manchester-based Pin Property. The unit was originally occupied by Medline, which vacated the property earlier this year when it transferred operations to mainland Europe.

Manor Point will become Rehau's UK distribution centre employing 60 people and creating up to 40 new jobs over the next five years. The tenant is relocating from 3MG in Widnes but will maintain manufacturing facilities in North Wales.

Rehau is one of the largest suppliers of UPVC products in the world and employs 15,000 people.

Imran Younus, marketing director of Pin Property, said: "This is a win-win deal for both parties. The building is of a very high specification which allows Rehau to consolidate their UK distribution in a strategic location."

Cllr Rob Polhill, leader of Halton Council, said: "It is fantastic news that Rehau have decided to remain in the borough and move to larger premises on Manor Park, a thriving business park in a great location. Their investment and confidence in Halton is most welcome."
Rehau have signed a 15 year lease at a rental of £4.95 per sq ft.

Mike Walker at CBRE acted for the landlord. B8 Real Estate's Howard George acted for Rehau. Adam Hymes of Manchester law firm Kuits advised the landlord.
