Redsun completes Turbine Business Park

Liverpool-based developer Redsun has finished the final phase of the fully let Turbine Business Park in Birkenhead.

The park contains 90,000 sq ft of commercial space across six units, ranging from 8,000 sq ft to 16,000 sq ft.

Redsun acquired the five-acre site adjacent to Cammell Laird shipyard in 2015 from West Register.

Occupancy reached 100% within a month of completion, with local and national occupiers from the maritime, trade and manufacturing sectors, including Star International, Travis Perkins, Smith Brothers Store, BMB Cabs and Brimark Signs.

Craig Booton, director at Redsun Developments, commented: “This was one of the more challenging sites we’ve developed, having been derelict for many years, but we knew it was a great location to bring forward our product.

“This development will provide a further boost to the local economy and we will be pressing on with similar developments already in planning stages.”

The project was funded using development finance from Lloyds Banking Group and grant funding support from Regional Growth Fund, supported by Wirral Council.

Portal Construction NW was the contractor. Legat Owen and B8RE acted for Redsun.
