Redsun bags two tenants at Magazine Point

The developer has secured a pair of deals totalling a combined 31,000 sq ft at the scheme within Wirral International Business Park, as main contractor Portal NW reaches practical completion.

Signage supplies distributor MDP Supplies has taken 19,000 sq ft, while medical diagnostics company MedTechToMarket has signed for 12,000 sq ft. Redsun Projects’ light industrial scheme comprises 55,000 sq ft in total at the Bromborough site.

The lettings mean that 24,000 sq ft remains available across four units. Legat Owen and B8RE are the joint agents on the scheme.

Designed by C4 Projects with Muir Associates acting as civil and structural engineer, Magazine Point is one of three development sites in Merseyside to have received a share of £2.65m from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Light Industrial Fund. Debt funding was provided by Lloyds Bank.

Nick Wightman, director at Redsun, said: “We have been hugely encouraged by the interest we have received, selling over half of the scheme prior to practical completion. The support from the combined authority has enabled us to meet occupier demand and support growing businesses in the area.

“This deal marks our delivery of more than 500,000 sq ft new commercial floorspace in Bromborough to date, and we are actively seeking more sites for development.”

Redsun remains one of the more active developers in the regional market. In February, it lodged plans for a further 280,000 sq ft in two buildings at its Aviator scheme in Ellesmere Port.
