Redrow Scotland boss moves south

House builder Redrow has appointed Sandy McBride as the new head of its North West division, replacing Will Heath, who has been promoted to a group role.

McBride was previously Redrow's managing director in Scotland until the business was closed in June. He has now transferred to the Redrow headquarters in Ewloe, Flintshire.

Redrow Homes NW currently has developments in Wrexham, Northop and Buckley in North Wales, as well as Wirral, Cheshire and South Manchester. He will also continue to look after legacy issues for Redrow north of the border.

McBride said: "It's interesting to be looking after operations in the area that is very much Redrow's heartland; the business was founded here over 35 years ago and the brand name is well established. We've recently launched a number of new developments featuring our sought-after New Heritage Collection homes and are busy acquiring land for further growth across the territory. There are many exciting opportunities within the region."

McBride joined Redrow two years ago. Prior to joining he was divisional chairman of Gladedale Homes and, before that, managing director of Bett Homes.
