Redrow approval in Ribble Valley
Redrow Homes has been granted reserved matters approval from Ribble Valley Council for the first 54 homes at the 260-unit Lawstonsteads development in the village of Whalley.
Outline planning permission was granted to Commerical Estates Group in March 2013 for a residential mixed-use development at the site off Clitheroe Road, Whalley for up to 260 dwellings. Redrow Homes bought the freehold interest in December for part of the site, to form phase one.
Manchester-based chartered town planners Hourigan Connolly advised Redrow. Daniel Connolly, director of Hourigan Connolly, said: "This is an important scheme for Whalley. The approval of phase one of the scheme in Lawstonsteads will result in the delivery of 54 high-quality open market and affordable homes in a sustainable location.
"We are really pleased that we were able to agree the finer details of this Reserved Matters approval and are proud to have been involved in scheme of such quality."
Hourigan Connolly is also currently working with Redrow Homes to formally discharge a number of conditions on the wider outline planning permission to enable Redrow Homes to start construction of the first homes in by the start of the summer this year.
Awful houses. Depressing to see the same designs churned out again and again by these volume builders.

It will be nice to see this get off the ground and to see some good homes built for the community but particularly those that are struggling to get on the housing ladder or to find something suitable for their family.
