Pozzoni partners to address care housing event

David Hughes and Damian Utton of independent architectural practice Pozzoni will address the International Association for Homes and Services for the Ageing conference in London later this month.

The event from 20 to 22 July will see sector specialists from 35 countries meet at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre to discuss challenges and opportunities in the ageing services sector.

Pozzoni has developed a niche expertise in design for the care sector, having completed projects for Wulvern Housing at Millhouse in Nantwich, and for CLS Care Services' Belong accommodation in Macclesfield and Wigan.

Hughes, senior partner, said: "It is our view that the built form affects the people that we are designing for in this sector far more than in any other building type and we relish the detailed design of each and every scheme."

Hughes and Utton, partner at Pozzoni, will share the practice's experience and knowledge of the sector by also leading a number of workshops and networking forums. They will present on topics including 'Design for Dementia in Practice' and 'Design for Ageing'.
