Pochin wins Robinson’s Brewery contract

The Castle pub on Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter of Manchester city centre is to undergo a £200,000 refurbishment by Pochin Construction.

The Cheshire-based contractor will undertake the sensitive refurbishment of the listed pub and its music room at the rear of the building.

Antony Pochin, business strategy director at Pochin, said: "This is the latest in a long line of projects we have carried out for Robinson's, in a relationship which spans nearly four decades. This contract also marks another win for our special projects team, which was set up to service smaller-end construction projects. Work has already begun and is due to be completed in August."

The design team includes interior designer Neil Robinson-Stanier, PMA Architects and Stringer & Pickford Quantity Surveyors. The subcontractors are Thomas Plant Hire, Clive May, P&L Joinery and Tuff Roofing.
