Oldham launches £230m schools programme

Oldham council will outline its Building Schools for the Future and academies development programmes at an open day in January as it starts creating a Local Education Partnership of contractors.

The council has £230m to spend on upgrading secondary schools through BSF and procuring new academies through the Government's National Framework.

The event on 13 January at the City Learning Centre on Hollinwood Avenue will be split into two sessions. A presentation of the Oldham programme will be followed by an opportunity to meet the team. Schools representatives and councillors will be present.
