November start for Winnington homes

Anwyl Homes’ Lancashire division is eyeing a start on site this year for the first phase of a 250-home development next to Winnington Business Park in Northwich, after securing consent from Cheshire West & Chester Council.

The first phase comprises 124 homes, together with landscaping and public open space.

The properties, a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, as well as some apartments, will go on sale early next year, according to Anwyl.

A 15% provision for affordable homes also features in the plans.

Anwyl bought the 12-acre site next to Winnington Business Park from FI Real Estate Management for an undisclosed sum in February.

The housing development will sit alongside FIREM’s plans to redevelop Winnington Business Park into a mixed-use scheme including commercial space, retail units and a family pub and restaurant.

John Grime, managing director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire, said: “It’s a great location. Northwich town centre is within easy reach, Greenbank Station is around a 10-minute walk away for services to Manchester and Chester, and there are good road links to the M56 and A556, making it a great base for those who work in Manchester, Warrington or Chester.”
