NHS agency occupies Halyard Court

The NHS North West Collaborative Commercial Agency has taken the entire 9,000 sq ft Halyard Court in Salford Quays.

Bruntwood's Halyard Court, which is currently undergoing public realm improvements including a new entrance leading directly to Salford Quays as well as landscaping and signage works, is one of three buildings on the 40,000 sq ft Chandlers Point estate.

Michelle McCusker, head of business and performance at the NWCCA, said: "Our office requirements were specific. We were looking for good quality, cost effective, office space that was more economical than our previous arrangement and flexible enough to work with our contract dates and future expansion plans. Bruntwood has been more than helpful in accommodating our needs at Halyard Court."

The NWCCA has a member trust consisting of nearly 50 members across the North West including Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool Primary Care Trust and East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Bruntwood said over the past five years the agency, which replaced the North West Collaborative Procurement Hub, has helped NHS trusts achieve savings of more than £110m which have been reinvested to further enhance the quality of patient care.

Details of the rental agreement were not disclosed.
