New homes for brownfield school site in Crewe

Renew Land Developments has won planning consent from Cheshire East Council for the construction of 82 new homes on the 3.7-acre site of a dilapidated former school in Crewe.

Built in the 1930s, the former Victoria Community High School had more recently been known as the Ludford Centre and used as a family and community centre before falling into disrepair.

Lee Dawkin, director of Renew Land Developments, said: "At a time where a lot of greenbelt developments have been put forward, it is excellent news that these plans have been given the green light and we have been able to bring forward this development on a sustainable, previously developed site."
