Nationwide buys Christie Park office

Nationwide Vehicle Contracts has acquired Unit 9 Christie Park from Business Homes North West for an undisclosed sum.

Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of the landlord in the 6,500 sq ft letting.

The deal leaves just one unit remaining on the Grade A business park situated on the edge of Chorlton, Manchester, next to Princess Parkway.

Nationwide Vehicle Contracts has relocated from its existing headquarters in Stockport to the new two-storey site. The business was unrepresented.

Jamie Bottomley, surveyor at Jones Lang LaSalle, Manchester, said: "For small to mid-sized firms looking to relocate within the South Manchester market, freehold purchase options are very competitive, allowing those with sufficient capital to acquire sites they'd normally have leased.

"Christie Park is one of the most modern and well-served of the area's business parks, and like many similar sites its stock of available space has gradually dried up over the past 18 months, which is likely to see the market beginning to tighten in the second half of 2013."
