M&E contractor falls into administration

Manchester-based mechanical and electrical contractor S Barratt & Co has entered into administration after more than 70 years of trading, with the loss of 43 jobs.
Insolvency practitioners Philip Francis Duffy and Steven Muncaster of MCR were appointed joint administrators of the Stretford firm on 29 November.
S Barratt & Co turned over £16m in 2010 but made a loss of £1.3m. The business was founded in 1935 and worked across commercial and residential sectors.
