McGonigle leaves NEM to join Bernstein’s team

Sean McGonigle, deputy chief executive and director of regeneration at New East Manchester, is leaving to take up a senior post at Manchester City Council.

McGonigle will become assistant chief executive of neighbourhood strategy and delivery in chief executive Sir Howard Bernstein's team.

The £70,000/year vacancy created at NEM is now being advertised, with special responsibility outlined for managing the economic and employment programme elements of the urban regeneration company's business plan.

McGonigle leaves NEM at the end of October. The closing date for applications for the vacancy is 5 October.
