Matthews & Goodman makes resi management hire

The property consultancy has appointed Paul Boothman from Lambert Smith Hampton to a new role as head of residential property management, joining former LSH colleagues Tim Austin and Chris Hughes.

Boothman previously spent three years as head of residential management at LSH where he was responsible for the firm’s portfolio in the North and Central England. Prior to that, he held roles with Allsop Residential Investment Management and Warner Estate Holdings.

At Matthews & Goodman, Boothman will lead the specialist residential arm of the firm’s property management offering. He will work with new and existing clients, promoting and delivering the firm’s ethos of excellent service, supported by a commitment to make a difference.

Head of property management Tim Austin, and senior surveyor Chris Hughes, both formerly LSH employees, were hired by Matthews & Goodman in February 2015 to grow the Northern property management team, based across Manchester and Liverpool.

Austin said: “Paul’s appointment has strengthened our ability to deliver a full asset managed residential property management service which enables clients to achieve the best outcome for their property and for their tenants. With residential development returning to pre-recession levels in both Manchester and Liverpool city centres, there is currently a lot of opportunity in the North West and we are delighted to have Paul on board.”
