Magenta revamps Wirral towers

Bullock Construction and architect Paddock Johnson Partnership have completed the seventh out of eight tower block refurbishments in a £32m programme for Magenta Living, formerly Wirral Partnership Homes.

Tenants in Knowsley Court 53 flats received new kitchens and bathrooms and updated lighting and décor. Safety and security was improved with the introduction of new fire alarm systems and CCTV. A new heating system was installed which combines a communal boiler system with solar thermal power.

Brian Simpson, chief executive of Magenta Living, said: "Magenta Living is justly proud of its high rise investment project which, as well as delivering improved standards of living, has reduced bills for our residents – a real benefit."

The £3m refurbishment of Mersey Court in Seacombe is on site and its anticipated completion in June 2014 will mark the end of the £32m investment programme.

Tiger’s tale design. Chosen by residents..

Yes, but the residents wouldn’t have chosen the design if it hadn’t been put forward to them in the first place!
