Lowry Outlet Mall reports revenue increase

The Lowry Outlet Mall in Salford Quays owned by Emerson reported a 3% increase in sales in the year to the end of March 2010.

Robert Hallworth, centre manager, said the Mall is operating with a 9% void rate and the forthcoming opening of Media City UK in 2011 will boost footfall.

He said: "The Mall performed way above expectations in 2009 and we're delighted with such a positive start to 2010. The success has been down to strong, targeted marketing to really drive footfall as well as adding some great new brands to our offering.

Hallworth: "We're off to good start and are cautiously optimistic about 2010. We already have a great product mix and there are some very exciting retailers lined up to join us later in the year."

The centre neighbours The Lowry arts centre and Imperial War Museum North. Tenants include M&S, Whistles, Flannels, Austin Reed, Nike, Donnay, Suits You, Whittards of Chelsea, Wax Lyrical, Bodum, Denby and Black & Decker.
