Lancashire County Council and Carillion are selling the 25-acre site of a former school and college in Burnley as an opportunity for residential development.
Lancashire Regeneration Property Partnership, a joint venture between the council and Carillion, advised by CBRE’s Manchester land and development team, has promoted the plot as suitable for homes.
The site is situated to the west of Kiddrow Lane between Burnley and Padiham.
CBRE is now seeking interest from parties looking to take the development forward.
The land was the site of Blessed Trinity High School and Ivy Bank Business & Enterprise College, with associated open space in between the two facilities. Burnley High School is to be relocated to the land north of the subject site, formerly Hameldon Community College, which has been cleared. Planning permission for the development was granted in September 2015.
The Hameldon site has been identified as suited to homes due to its position within an established residential location, close to local schools and amenities.

The redevelopment of this key site could make a significant contribution to both the long-term regeneration of the area and the local housing requirements and we anticipate high levels of interest.”
