JMW expands in Spinningfields

The law firm has taken an additional 5,200 sq ft on the fourth floor of Mapletree’s 3 Hardman Street in Manchester, increasing its presence in the building to almost 20,000 sq ft.

The additional space within the 370,000 sq ft Spinningfields office block will house the firm’s commercial litigation and insolvency teams, which have relocated from 1 Byrom Place, where JMW Solicitors occupies all seven floors.

The relocation of JMW’s commercial departments began in 2017, when the firm’s real estate team agreed a nine-year lease for 14,000 sq ft of space on the fourth floor of 3 Hardman Street.

Joy Kingsley, senior partner at JMW, said: “It made sense to bring all of our commercial teams together on one floor, allowing them to work together for our clients. The new office space highlights our continued growth and investment for the future.”

JMW was advised by Edwards & Co and Savills represented Mapletree. JLL is joint letting agent for the building.

The fit out of the office space was undertaken by contractor ADT Workplace.
