Ineos company makes Runcorn move
Bam Construction has completed work on an 85,000 sq ft four-storey office building, enabling the move of Inovyn ChlorVinyls, a subsidiary of the chemicals giant.
The project was reproted at the outset as having a contract value of £23m.
Inovyn’s products are fundamental raw materials for industry sectors as diverse as automotive, construction, paints, food, medical and water treatment. The building could eventually accommodate up to 450 employees.
Bam’s project manager David Oldfield said, “It is brilliant to have worked with one of the region’s most important companies and employers and to have delivered a building so versatile with great safety credentials.”
The new office complex is now complete and already housing Inovyn employees. It is adapted with blast enhancement engineering, because of the complex nature of the occupier’s work and processes.
The building features a single storey atrium with meeting rooms, a cafeteria and two-storey ancillary building complete with a gym.
Current and recent Bam projects include the UK’s largest entertainment arena, Co-Op Live in Manchester – its largest-ever UK contract – and new acute facilities at Salford Royal Hospital, while it also created a recent suite of schools and academies in south Manchester.
In the industrial sector it has also recently built for Unilever in Port Sunlight, also led by Oldfield.
