Hurstwood signs up four in Haslingden

Property developer and investor Hurstwood has let more than 20,000 sq ft in Haslingden, Lancashire.

Conservatory supplier Extend-a-Room and builders merchant Ducting Supplies have occupied space at Waterside Industrial Estate.

The other two lettings at the adjacent Three Point Business Park are to pet food supplier Black Flea, and to building and roofing product manufacturer, Building Chemical Solutions.

Ducting Supplies has moved from Carrs Industrial Estate in Haslingden, while Black Flea and Building Chemical Solutions are new companies. Details of rental agreements were not disclosed.

Mark Carling, sales director at Hurstwood, said: "We are really pleased to have secured these deals. Hurstwood has been completing around 12 deals per month at our estates in the North West, but we are a local company so it's great to bring new business to the Rossendale Valley. The new deals bring exciting prospects for local people.

"The extremely accessible position of the estates is one of the main attractions to business. They are situated next to Carrs Industrial Estate, just off the Haslingden By Pass which links on to the motorway network."

Craig Miller, managing director of Extend a-Room, added: "Our previous unit at Clayton Le Moors was hindering our productivity so we needed to look elsewhere. Our new premises will be key to our success – the space is much bigger and better quality. Business is going from strength to strength and we anticipate the move will create three new jobs over the next year."

Based at Navigation Business Park in Bolton, Hurstwood has commercial property interests in the North West, Midlands and Wales, with approximately 500 occupier clients at over 100 locations.

Pettys are agents on Waterside Industrial Estate with Hurstwood.
