Hundreds expected to apply for EPS framework

There were expressions of interest from 550 companies in the North West Construction Hub engineering and professional services panel, the PQQ deadline for which was 6pm on Friday.

Not all 550 firms are expected to submit full pre-qualification questionnaires today but the scale and scope of the framework, divided into 78 lots according to geography, discipline and size of contract, suggests the organisers will still be inundated.

The panel will last for four years and is being established by North West Construction Hub, overseen by Manchester City Council, alongside the Centre for Construction Innovation North West.

Councils and public bodies will be able to access the panel if they wish, making it easier and quicker to identify quality contractors.
