Henry Boot bags County Court building for office scheme

Henry Boot has acquired the 31,000 sq ft County Court building on Deansgate from the Court Service for an undisclosed sum.

The Grade II listed building was on the market for £4.5m and will be refurbished as offices and leisure space.

The building became redundant after the courts moved to the Denton Corker Marshall-designed Civil Justice Centre in Spinningfields, currently shortlisted for the Stirling Prize.

DTZ acted for the Court Service; Cheetham & Mortimer for Henry Boot.
