Hansteen agrees 72,600 sq ft deal with Royal Mail
Property consultant Jones Lang LaSalle has found a new address for Royal Mail Group's subsidiary, Parcelforce Worldwide.
The shed at The Link, Huyton Business Park, was secured on a 15-year lease with no break, and will replace an existing Liverpool delivery centre at Broadgreen.
The development, which is owned by Hansteen, was found after Royal Mail Group sanctioned a search for its new Liverpool depot.
The 2.5 acre yard with six loading doors was secured for a headline rent of £3/sq ft.
The deal follows the recent purchase of 15 acres at Revolution Park, Chorley – where a 120,000 sq ft regional distribution hub is currently being constructed.
Daniel Burn, director of Jones Lang LaSalle industrial and logistics, said: "These important instructions are examples of a number which we're currently handling for them in the region.
"Their willingness to commit to a long-term lease enabled us to secure a very attractive package for them and reflects that in the current market both landlords and tenants are willing to work together to get deals done."
CBRE and the Liverpool office of Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of Hansteen.
