Grosvneor has appointed McArthur Glen UK marketing manager Donna Howitt as its first head of marketing at Liverpool One.
Howitt will be responsible for the consumer marketing campaign for the £950m retail-led scheme, the first phase of which is due to open on May 29, 2008. She will manage a team of four agencies; Staniforth for consumer PR, MediaVest for media planning, JWT for consumer advertising and Finch for corporate branding.
She said: "We're just kicking off the consumer marketing campaign for Liverpool One. I couldn't have joined the team at a more exciting time; it's fantastic working on a brand new project and I'm really looking forward to playing such an important role in the launch and the subsequent growth of Liverpool One.
"There aren't many projects as inspirational as Liverpool One. This is the most exciting retail and leisure development around. It will be hugely rewarding to be a part of the team at Liverpool One, which will help catapult the city into one of the UK's top six retail destinations."
Liverpool One includes more than 160 new shops, cafes and restaurants, two new hotels and a 14-screen Odeon cinema and park, over looked by more than 600 apartments.
