Grosvenor adds to its Peter’s Lane line-up

Designer clothes label Ghost, footwear retailer Dune, and skincare brand L'Occitane have signed for stores at Grosvenor's £950m Liverpool One, just five weeks ahead of the launch of its first phase.

Grosvenor has confirmed that the three brands are taking 1,418 sq ft, 2,203 sq ft and 584 sq ft stores respectively in Peter's Lane, the niche fashion district, where they will join tenants such as Flannels, Jigsaw, Radley, Ted Baker, and Reiss.

A total of 80% of the units on Peter's Lane are now let, with the remaining units all under negotiation.

Nick Hamer, finance director at Ghost, said: "We have wanted a presence in Liverpool for some time but had been unable to find the right location. Liverpool One – and the Peter's Lane district – is a perfect fit for Ghost and we see this store as a key opening for the business this year."

Neil Barber, head of retail leasing at Grosvenor, added: "Ghost, L'Occitane and Dune join the likes of Radley, Jigsaw, Flannels and Fred Perry to create a critical mass of premium brands at Peter's Lane, all of which recognise the huge potential of Liverpool One's catchment who spend more on average per annum on fashion than shoppers in Manchester."

Peter's Lane, which is part of the second phase of the 1.6m sq ft project, will open on September 30, while John Lewis, South John Street, and the western side of Paradise Street, along with 3,000 parking places, will open to the public on May 29.

The 20,000 sq ft Flannels store is anchoring the lane, and will act as the focal point of an arcade-like covered street designed by Sir Jeremy Dixon.

Letting agents on Liverpool One are Tushingham Moore, Cushman & Wakefield, and Strutt & Parker.
