Grantmaster completes deals at St Helens leisure scheme

Grantmaster Developments has pre-let a 25,000 sq ft bowling alley to Tenpin and a 64-room hotel to Travelodge at its £30m mixed-use West Point scheme in St Helens.

West Point, on the corner of Link Way West and Westfield Street, will comprises 80,000 sq ft of retail and leisure accommodation, as well as 111 apartments.

Jeremy Simpson, partner of Tushingham Moore, agent for Grantmaster, said: "St Helens town centre is currently experiencing a major transformation as it aims to improve its leisure offer within the town centre and compete with its neighbours such as Wigan and Warrington. Work will start on site in spring next year with completion due for 2009. The scheme will offer A3 accommodation and there is potential for further retail development".
