G Star slips into TCS offices

Clothing manufacturer G Star (UK) has acquired a 3,550 sq ft office at Town Centre Securities' Carvers Warehouse in Piccadilly, Manchester.

G Star is joining occupiers Marketing Manchester, Martin Stockley Associates, Arca Architects and Four 23 Creative Agency at the 22,000 sq ft restored and extended canalside building.

Carvers is part of TCS's 12.8-acre mixed-use development at Piccadilly Basin which will contain 400,000 sq ft of offices. Quoting rents are £18/sq ft.

Rob Yates, office agency director at DTZ who advised G Star on the deal, said: "The sympathetic refurbishment of the Grade II Listed building perfectly suited the image of clients. Our initial brief was to find a raw, rudimentary product which mirrored the product range of G Star Jeans; Carvers Warehouse does this perfectly."

Lambert Smith Hampton acted for TCS.
