Further information released for travel around Manchester

Part of the Mancunian Way is currently shut near to the Chester Road roundabout and the surrounding area, due to police investigating a suspicious package, which has now been deemed safe.

Victoria Station remains closed with no Metrolink or rail services passing through or stopping at the station. According to Transport for Greater Manchester, the station is likely to remain closed for some days.

Key roads closures around the city centre relating to the incident have been lifted, however localised closures around the arena remain in place at Corporation Street, between Withy Grove and Miller Street.

TfGM has release a map showing affected Metrolink and rail networks, and is providing regular updates on travel at https://beta.tfgm.com/alerts/travel-information-23-May and on Twitter at @gmpolice.
