Fund sells Warrington office to contractor

British Steel Pension Fund, advised by Jones Lang LaSalle, has sold a 10,800 sq ft building at 930-932 Millennium Business Park, in Birchwood to construction firm Nomenca.

The self-contained, two-storey office was sold for an undisclosed sum. Nomenca is currently based off Woolston Grange Avenue and will use the new base for its own occupation.

Richard Wharton, director, at Jones Lang LaSalle said: "Demand for well-located freehold office accommodation in the North West continues to strengthen and the market has options which are attractive to occupiers looking to take on ownership.

"Millennium Business Park's popularity in the region is well demonstrated by the quick sale of the self-contained accommodation.

"The park boasts direct access to the M62 and the M6, and the unit features 42 on-site car parking spaces, well-suited to providing a base for Nomenca's regional office in Warrington."

Jones Lang LaSalle and BE Group acted as joint agents on the deal and Nomenca was unrepresented.

Nomenca works in the energy, waste and materials sectors installing design-and-build turnkey structures.
