Forbes partner steps up to run housing team

Lancashire-based law firm Forbes Solicitors has promoted Stuart Penswick to head of housing, replacing Siobhan Hardy who becomes managing partner of the Leeds office.

Penswick has been with the firm for over 10 years and headed the litigation department of the housing team in Preston for the past three years.

The company, which is headquartered in Blackburn with branch offices in Preston, Manchester, Blackburn, Accrington, Chorley and Leeds, has 70 housing clients.

Penswick said: "This has been a natural progression within the housing team and I am very much looking forward to the challenge. With our housing client base constantly increasing it is vital that we have someone heading the team who can continue to devote the time and effort to providing our clients with the best possible service at all times and I am dedicated to achieving this."

The firm's managing partner, John Barker, added: "Stuart has been an integral part of the housing team since it began and his enthusiasm and commitment have been second to none. He has an in-depth knowledge of the housing sector and I am certain he will do a great job of leading and developing the housing team in the future."
