FBE Manchester adds to committee

Sue Swain, business development manager of Browns Construction Group, has joined the committee of the Forum for the Built Environment's Manchester branch.

Swain said: "I'm really excited about joining the FBE committee, the Manchester branch has a long track record of hosting excellent seminars with very relevant topics and key industry leaders and influencers."

The FBE has 2,000 members nationwide, claiming to be the largest independent built environment networking association in the UK. Prior to joining Browns, Swain was business development director of Bovis Lend Lease.

Forthcoming networking breakfast events being hosted by FBE Manchester Branch include:

5 July: Review of Major Capital Projects at Manchester Metropolitan University. Guest Speaker: Professor John Brooks, vice chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University.

12 July: Why all government construction projects will use BIM. John Lorimer, Manchester City Council. Rob Charlton, Space Architects.

13 September: Update on the North West marketplace. A panel of leading speakers is confirmed who will address the membership on the state of the market.

11 October: Nuclear New Build and decommissioning, opportunities for all. URS, Costain and the CBI confirmed as speakers to date.
