Fazenda opens at The Avenue

Bar and grill restaurant Fazenda has opened its latest outlet at The Avenue in Spinningfields, Manchester, with a £2m investment to refurbish the former Ted Baker unit.

The City District group behind Fazenda also runs branches in Liverpool and Leeds. The Spinningfields restaurant is spread over 1,800 sq ft and has 178 covers, including three private dining rooms. The bar area has 44 covers, and there is outdoor seating for 50.

Diners at Fazenda enjoy freshly-grilled joints of meats, carved from joints at the table.

There are 15 different cuts of beef, chicken, lamb and pork, alongside a salad bar with options including sushi, smoked salmon, cured meats, hot dishes and traditional Brazilian dishes.

Tomas Maunier, the general manager overseeing the Manchester launch, said: "At Fazenda we are keeping the tradition of the Gaucho alive, slowly grilling large pieces of meat in the way it has been done for centuries.

"With our authentic South American background, we offer a unique Gaucho-style dining experience at the highest level. The response so far in Manchester has been fantastic, and we look forward to repeating the success we have enjoyed in other Northern cities."
