Eric Wright secures Preston and Bolton school contracts

The contractor has secured two projects at Preston Muslim Girls High School and the Kings Leadership Academy in Bolton, designed by JM Architects and Pozzoni respectively.

The Preston school currently operates across two buildings and the project will provide new-build accommodation to bring the school’s functions under one roof. This is pictured above.

In Bolton, Eric Wright will build two temporary buildings to allow the school to relocate whilst a larger new-build school is under construction.

Both projects were awarded through the Department for Education’s low value framework, which covers projects up to £4.5m. Other schemes the Bamber Bridge-based contractor has been awarded through this framework include Burnley High School and the Khalsa Science Academy.

Eric Wright’s framework director, James Eager, said: “The DfE framework gives us the opportunity to work collaboratively with schools and use our specialist education experience to provide innovative, cost effective solutions to promote learning.”

“There is an increasing demand on school places in the North West and we are honoured to play a part in creating new facilities in which our youngsters can thrive and contribute to meeting the demand for future generations.”
