Elliott joins Hydrock main board

The engineering design consultancy has made Manchester-based Scott Elliott its chief operating officer.

In a further addition to the group’s main board, Catriona Tully becomes chief commercial officer.

Hydrock’s headquarters are in Bristol, but the company operates from 16 locations across the UK.

Elliott will be responsible for the operational performance of all of Hydrock’s business disciplines, in addition to how innovation and technology are utilised to further improve client service delivery, the firm said.

Based in Manchester, he joined Hydrock in 2014 and has led the company’s geo-environmental and geo-technical business for the last three years. Elliott also played an influential role in the development of Hydrock’s energy business, especially in the energy storage field.

Hydrock chief executive Brian McConnell said: “These are exciting additions to our main board and reflect the growth of our business and the importance of spreading our strategic responsibilities at board level.

“With our clients, we are increasingly acting first and foremost as a strategic advisor, especially around how to embed sustainability and energy transformation into their businesses and real estate assets and portfolios.”

Hydrock’s projects in the North West include Progressive Living Developments’ Greengate tower, Manchester Life’s Eliza Yard scheme, and Clifford Christian Estates’ Warrington hotel.
