Didsbury Point apartments fully sold

All 36 apartments at the £5.5m Albert Place scheme in South Manchester have sold off plan, with 25% of the buyers making use of the Government's Help to Buy scheme.

The scheme, which consists of one and two bedroom properties, is being developed by Lymm-based Mulbury Homes and is the first to be delivered under its Mulbury Living brand. The development is being built on part of the site of the former Withington Hospital.

Mulbury Homes said the off plan sale of the luxury apartments was reflective of an upturn in confidence in the housing market.

The properties are being built by Manchester-based Harbur Construction. The scheme started on site in May 2013 and is due to complete this summer.

Greg Mulligan, director of Mulbury Homes, said: "We've seen a range of buyers from those looking to get on the first rung of the property ladder to existing home owners. The fact that all have purchased before the development is complete is testament to the contemporary design and high specifications of the apartments. It is also further evidence that there is a renewed sense of confidence in the housing market."
