DeTrafford continues Castlefield residential expansion

DeTrafford Estates Group is due to submit a planning application in the coming weeks for its latest development in Manchester, a scheme of 440 apartments designed by Ollier Smurthwaite.

The site at the corner of Trentham Street and Ellesmere Street will feature a six-storey brick building, echoing the precedents of mills in the local area, rising to a 16-storey glass block facing towards the canal.

The plans were unveiled at a public consultation event yesterday.

Retail and commercial units will be included on the ground floor, while on the top floor duplex penthouses will be built with private roof gardens.

Subject to planning approval, a start on site is expected in spring 2017.

DeTrafford has planning applications approved for several phases of residential development around Chester Road; City Gardens, Sky Gardens, and 1 Ellesmere Street.

This was from impostor Elephant. There is someone posing as me to cause annoyance. I actually don’t care either way about this. It serves a purpose.
