Designs for Great Ancoats charity unveiled

Manchester architect Maurice Shapero and Bolton-based construction consultants Bradshaw Gass & Hope have designed a new mental health centre for charity 42nd Street on Great Ancoats Street, Manchester.

If delivered the building will become a new base for the charity which works with young people between the ages of 13-25, living in Manchester, Salford or Trafford.

The design shows two interlocking cubes clad in a white stone.

Mmmmmm…Not sure this design would install confidence and a sense of wellbeing in its users…..looks like it’s about to fall on anyone who enters it – or is it me?

a very disorientating design, or perhaps its meant to reflect disorientation of the mind, I fully support the charity and its objectives and would welcome it here, but dont like the design facing onto great ancoats street.
