Deals agreed at Warrington business Park

Five new lettings within a week totalling more than 80,000 sq ft have been secured at Winwick Quay Business Park, Warrington.

The 400,000 sq ft business park comprises Cameron, Colville and Chetham Courts and is owned by Winwick Quay LLP.

Klenzan, the detergent and disinfectant manufacturers, has taken seven units on Cameron Court totalling 52,000 sq ft. The company will operate its national business from the Winwick location after agreeing a ten year lease for an undisclosed sum.

Belfry Group has relocated from elsewhere in Warrington to open its new national headquarters in the 13,419 sq ft unit 12 at Cameron Court. Belfry said the relocation will enable the business to run its whole business from the Winwick location. The company, which specialises in property maintenance, renewable energy, security and vehicle MOTs, employs over 200 local people.

Online retailer Baby Store, which took occupation on Chetham Court in the summer, has extended its current lease by another five years and also taken on the neighbouring unit to double its space to 6,584 sq ft.

Glasgow-based Document Outsourcing has chosen the 8,647 sq ft unit 16 at Cameron Court as the new base for its North West operation.

CK Building Supplies has taken the 3,900 sq ft unit 6 at Colville Court for the launch of its new building supplies company.

Ian Murray, from Riddelltps, the asset managers for the business park and joint letting agents for the estate with the Manchester office of Colliers CRE, said: "These new lettings prove yet again that Winwick Quay is the desired location for both local and national companies which need a presence in or around Warrington.

"The highly prominent location giving direct access to both the A49 and the M62 within a secure business park means the estate is more popular than ever, now that we have completed our unit refurbishments and estate works.

"Cameron Court comprising 24 units and a total of 172,000 sq ft is now fully let and we only have two units left on Colville Court."

Winwick Quay LLP became owners of the business park in February 2008, and has invested nearly £2m transforming the site with a further £5m planned.

In January this year, the landlord received planning consent for a further 70,000 sq ft of trade counter units and 185 car parking spaces, as well as a new road creating direct access onto the A49, at the business park.
