Cumbria housing work on offer

Councils in Cumbria are inviting bids from property advisors to carry out a survey of the condition of private sector stock in the area.

The work is being jointly commissioned by Allerdale, Barrow, Carlisle, Copeland, Eden and South Lakeland councils under the name of the Cumbria Private Sector Housing Group.

The county contains 210,000 homes but the survey will look at a sample of around 1,000 dwellings within each council area.

The two-year contract is worth between £200,000 and £300,000.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 15 December.
