Crewe warehouse sold to food trader

Threadneedle Investments, represented by Savills and Jones Lang laSalle, has sold the long leasehold on Linea House in Marshfield Bank Industrial Estate, Crewe to Fayrefield Foods for £2.7m.

The warehouse provides 72,625 sq ft including a three-storey office block and 22 parking spaces. The Marshfield Bank Industrial Estate is 1.5 miles from Crewe town centre.

Jonathan Atherton, industrial director of Savills, said: "Crewe continues to attract first-rate occupiers and the new facility for Fayrefield Foods will be a welcome addition to the town."

Savills has advised on 450,000 sq ft of industrial transactions during the past 12 months including the acquisition of 360,000 sq ft for Expert Logistics.

Fayrefield Foods was unrepresented in the transaction.
