City Res lands student conversions
City Residential has been instructed as letting agent on two new student accommodation developments in Liverpool city centre.
Bold Spirit is converting an office building in Pall Mall into 25 studios ranging in size from 150 sq ft to 250 sq ft. All-inclusive rents will start from £110/week.
The developer aims to complete the conversion by the end of June ready for September 2014 academic year.
The second scheme, by Manchester-based developer Kingscrown Properties, will comprise the conversion of empty retail space in Moss Street into 21 en-suite student rooms ranging in size from 140 sq ft to 215 sq ft. All-inclusive rents will start from £100/week. Kingscrown is on site with an expected completion date of May 2014.
Alan Bevan, managing director of City Residential in Liverpool, said: "Both of these conversions will offer the high quality student accommodation in locations where there is already strong student demand and in the size of building where that is a little more intimate than some of the larger new build halls of residence."

The building next door is also SA isn’t it.
I don’t think so much of it is healthy.

Liverpool city centre is a student town during the academic year and a ghost town the rest of the time. A broad spectrum of people need to be encouraged back into the city centre instead of it being a ghetto.
