CBRE recruits Purdon to development team
Former UK Land & Property and GVA Grimley development advisor Andrew Purdon has joined CB Richard Ellis as associate director in Manchester.
Purdon joins CBRE's North West development and investment consulting team. He said: "I am extremely excited to be joining CBRE – it's such a dynamic, forward-thinking team. The role provides me with the opportunity to utilise the full breadth of knowledge I have gained in agency and development and expand the firm's service lines in the region. I will be working closely with our real estate finance team to try and provide funding solutions for projects with strong property fundamentals – this is a capability I do not believe our competitors can match."
Purdon started his career at DTZ, where he spent three years, before joining GVA Grimley in 2004. He was hired by UK Land in 2007 to establish the developer's Manchester office but was victim of the market crash in 2009. He spent the past 18 months working as a freelance consultant before CBRE came knocking.
Nick Mullins, senior director of valuation advisory and investment consulting at CBRE North West, said: "Andrew is well known and respected within the region's property market. The breadth of experience he has gathered during his career to date enables us to provide our clients with the best advice at all stages of the development property asset life cycle."
