Burgess re-emerges at CBRE

Mark Burgess, former managing director of Capital Properties, has joined CBRE’s national team as senior director of asset services and will be based in the firm’s Manchester office.

Burgess co-founded Capital Properties in 2008, and left the company suddenly in June.

Capital Properties is best known for animating the Spinningfields estate on behalf of Allied London, including running the ice skating rink and film screenings at Screenfields, and pop-up bars such as The Lawn Club. The company also manages assets for other landlords across Manchester, Leeds, London and Aberdeen.

Burgess previously worked for CBRE in 2008, and has also held positions at Bruntwood and Savills.

He will be working as part of CBRE’s national team on projects across the country.

Adrian McStay, managing director of the national team at CBRE, said: ‘We are delighted that Mark has joined us and are confident that he will help us to develop the services across our nationwide portfolio. Mark has a dynamic and entrepreneurial approach to business that will see us working together on some exciting projects over the coming months.”
