BDO opens second Liverpool office

The accountancy firm has taken 7,900 sq ft on the fifth floor of Shelborn Asset Management’s One Tithebarn to open its second office in the city centre.

The company already employs around 250 staff in Liverpool at a 17,100 sq ft office at Temple Street and has now decided to take a second office at the building on the corner of Old Hall Street and Tithebarn Street.

Worthington Owen and Avison Young are the agents on One Tithebarn, and BDO is paying a headline rent of £14.50/sq ft for its fifth-floor space, having taken a 10-year lease. This will create space for an additional 150 staff.

In total, One Tithebarn provides 115,000 sq ft of offices over eight floors.

Ed Dwan, partner at BDO in the North West, said: “The growth of the team in Liverpool is reflective of the successful year we’’e had as a firm. We announced a merger with Moore Stephens, creating a larger and stronger business, and we’ve seen strong organic growth in the region.

“We’re committed to Liverpool because of the quality of talent and businesses based here.”

Yes, 1960s ‘brutalist’, but you always get an ugly duckling alongside the swans.
