Barton Willmore opens first North West office
Planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore is to open an office in Manchester, its tenth in the UK.
The firm, which will be based in 3 Hardman Street, Spinningfields, aims to capitalise on new development opportunities across the North West across all sectors.
The office will be headed by Dan Mitchell, partner in the Leeds office, who is relocating to Manchester.
Barton Willmore already has clients in the region including Chester Zoo, where Barton Willmore advised on the planning application for a major extension that recently won consent.
He will be supported by Chris Edge, associate partner, who will be joining Barton Willmore from HOW Planning in January.
Mitchell said: "At a time when the Government is looking to the private sector to drive economic growth, we are really excited about this opportunity to expand our business in the North West. Our clients have been calling for us to have a presence in the region for some time and this move will allow us to respond more effectively to their needs, as well as enabling us to be on the ground, ready to take advantage of new development opportunities as they arise.
"We are especially pleased to welcome Chris, whose expertise will be a real asset to the new team, and we are looking forward to building the Barton Willmore brand across the region."
