Alliance rolls out eco-offices to Leigh

Property Alliance Group has won planning permission for the second scheme under its new sustainable office development concept, The Green.

The consent clears the way for Alliance to build 80,000 sq ft in four detached buildings off the A580 East Lancashire Road in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

The buildings will sit within the Hope Carr Nature Reserve and use environmentally-friendly technology.

Oliver Moorhouse, of Alliance, said: "This is an exciting development for Property Alliance Group, The Green incorporates the very latest in environmentally friendly technology and sustainable design. It is a concept which we intend to roll out in other satellite towns around the North West, indeed we have recently received a planning consent for a similar scheme in Bury. The Green, Leigh offers the perfect backdrop for a sustainable office scheme, being within a site of biological importance as designated by The Greater Manchester Ecological Unit. The space is available to lease or buy and offers ultimate flexibility for companies who appreciate the work life balance of their staff and the environment where they work."

GVA Grimley and WHR Property LLP are joint acting agents on the development.
