Administrators pick Edward Symmons to sell Anglesey quarry

Joint administrators, Jon Newell and Kerry Bailey of PKF (UK) LLP, have appointed surveyor Edward Symmons' Manchester team to sell the business and assets of C&M Parry Plant Hire and C&M Parry Holdings in Anglesey.

The assets include two quarries, a landfill operation and a skip hire business. One quarry is inactive with leisure development potential at Bryn Engan. The live quarry at Brynteg has 20 years of reserves remaining.

Ben Lynch, partner at Edward Symmons, said: "The wealth of opportunities for investors with liquidity is considerable at this time, as many niche business operations enter the market following insolvencies."

The sale of the C&M Parry business includes 41 hire skips, mobile crushers and screens, excavators, trailers and seven specialist JCB vehicles.

Lynch added: "This specialist company is already generating considerable interest and we would therefore urge those parties wishing to register interest to contact us as soon as possible."
