New £4.5m primary school build tendered

Contractors keen to land more school building work in the recession have another tender to go for, a new £4.5m primary school in Pensby, Wirral.

Wirral council, advised by Capita, plans to draw up a shortlist by the end of September.

The project will include demolition of the existing school and design-and-build of the new facility. Contractors must "participate actively in the economic and social regeneration of the locality".
