MIPIM VIDEO | How levelling up is shaping the North West

JMW Solicitors’ Thomas Pearson weighs in on the impact the second round of Levelling Up Fund awards has had on the North West and what it means for the North-South divide.

Despite the government’s second round of Levelling Up Fund awards leaving some Northern councils high and dry, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future according Pearson.

Pearson is the head of real estate commercial at the Manchester-headquartered law firm. He spoke with Place North West in Cannes during the international property conference to discuss the impact the government’s levelling up policy has had in the North.

Pearson also took the time to highlight emerging Greater Manchester projects that are laden with the potential to deliver true levelling up. These are the schemes worth keeping an eye on, according to Pearson.

You can watch Pearson’s remarks in the video at the top of this story, or on the Place North West YouTube channel.
